Men's Tennis falls to Westminster, 7-2

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 4) - The Bethany College men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Westminster in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match inside the TPJ Health and Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After losing at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) continued their strong play at the top-doubles position with an 8-6 win over Westminster's Miguel Ascencio and Kornel Foremski.
  • The duo is now 3-4 as a doubles team this season.
  • Berlin recorded his fourth win in his last five matches at the No. 2 singles position with a straight sets 6-2, 6-0 win over Westminster's Alex Georgescu.
  • The Titans managed to earn wins at the other five singles matchups to close out a 7-2 win over the Bison.

  • Bethany returns to action on Sunday, April 8 when they travel to Washington & Jefferson for a PAC match
  • The two teams are slated to begin at 11 a.m.
