BETHANY, W.Va. (April 5) - The Bethany College men's tennis team was dealt a 6-3 loss by Pitt.-Greensburg in a non-conference match at the Ewing Tennis Courts Friday.
 

THE MATCHUP

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) posted a dominant 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles to give the Bison the lead early on.
  • The Bison battled at both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in doubles play, but the Bobcats earns the wins to take a 2-1 lead into singles.
  • Ray and Berlin continued their strong play this season with wins at each of the top two singles positions.
  • Ray quickly dispatched his opponent 6-0, 6-0, while Berlin claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win in his match at No. 2 singles.
  • Bethany was unable to claim any of the other singles spots and were dealt the non-conference loss.

UP NEXT

  • Bethany returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competition on Sunday, April 15 when they travel to Saint Vincent for a match at 1 p.m.
