McKenzie tabbed ECAC South All-Star

DANBURY, Conn. (Dec. 2) – Bethany College senior outside hitter Dylana McKenzie (Hopewell, Ohio / West Muskingum) earned First-Team Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Volleyball honors Friday afternoon.

A four-time All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) First Team selection, McKenzie claimed PAC Player of the Year honors this season. She led the league, and ranked 27th among NCAA Division III counterparts, in total kills (451) while finishing third in the PAC in kills per set (3.50). She tied for second in the PAC in total points scored (486.5), was fifth in points per set (3.77) and hit .282, good for fourth in the PAC. McKenzie also totaled 64 blocks (7 solo, 57 assisted) and posted 10 or more kills in 26 matches.

McKenzie and top-seeded Bethany (25-12, 16-2 PAC) won their first-ever PAC Championship Tournament title with a 3-1 victory over second-seeded Thomas More College in this year's title match. In Bethany's seven championship tournament sets, McKenzie hit. 324 with 32 kills on 71 total attacks. She was also named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-North Region selection last month.
