The Bethany College women's lacrosse team stepped away from Presidents' Athletic Conference action, falling to NCAA Division II Malone Monday, 19-3.
Sophomore Tatum Severe scored the lone first-half goal for Bethany. Junior Jada Carter and sophomore Kamora Figueroa added fourth-quarter markers for the Bison.
Malone scored six goals in the first period, seven in the second period, and three in each the third and fourth quarters.
Three different Bison – senior Leah Crihfeld, junior Madison Wagoner, and freshman Kyleigh Craig – spent time between the pipes, combining for seven saves on 26 shots.
Bethany (1-8 overall, 0-1 PAC) return to action 3 p.m. Saturday, traveling to Thiel for a PAC game.
