WLAX: Carpenter Nets Four Goals in Loss

Senior Abbie Carpenter scored three times as the Bethany College women's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a 21-7 loss to unbeaten Muskingum Wednesday inside Bison Stadium.

Bethany opened the scoring as sophomore Tatum Severe scored less than two minutes into the game. Muskingum answered with eight straight, seven coming in the first period.

Following a 30-minute weather delay in the second period, the Bison came out of the weather-induced break with back-to-back goals from junior Jada Carter and Carpenter, respectively. The Muskies scored four of the next five goals with Carpenter tallying the lone Bison marker.

Three different Bethany players – senior Karley Trinidad, Carpenter, and Severe - found the back of the net as the Bison scored three of the first four goals to begin the third period.
