Bison women picked to finish seventh in preseason poll

GREENVILLE, Pa. (Dec. 1) - The Bethany College women's track & field team was selected to finish seventh in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Friday.

Waynesburg was tabbed as the league-favorite, followed by Geneva, Westminster, Thomas More and Washington & Jefferson in the top-five.

The PAC also released its Athletes to Watch list, which including a quartet of Bison. Senior Ashley Borsch (Richmond, Ohio/Edison Local), juniors Leighanna Frantz (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) and Patience Frazier (Washington, Pa./Washington), along with sophomore Amanda Gower (Washington, Pa./Trinity) were all named to the list.

The Bethany women will begin the season on Saturday, January 13 when they compete at the WVU Open at the school's Shell Building in Morgantown.

This year's league championships are scheduled for Thursday, February 22 at YSU's WATTS. Events will get underway at 2 p.m.
