PAC names Frazier women's field athlete of the week

GREENVILLE, Pa. (April 23) - After breaking the school-record in the javelin, junior Patience Frazier (Washington, Pa./Washington) was selected the Presidents' Athletics Conference (PAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week announced the league office Monday afternoon.

Frazier broke the 32-year old school-record in the javelin last Wednesday night at the Bethany Mini-Meet. She won the event with a distance of 38.92 meters (127 feet, eight inches) to break former Bison Barbara Kushner'sschool-record throw of 36.26 meters (119 feet), which was established in 1986.

Her mark currently ranks at the top of the PAC Performance List this outdoor season and is more than three meters ahead of the second-longest throw.

Frazier also placed eighth in the shot put at the home event with a throw of 10.76 meters (35 feet, three inches).

Frazier and the rest of the Bethany College women's track & field team will travel to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania this Wednesday and Thursday, April 25-26 for the PAC Outdoor Championships.
