PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bethany College volleyball team followed similar scripts in securing two wins at the LaRoche Quads Saturday. Bethany dropped the first set in both matches before winning three straight sets.
MATCH ONE: BETHANY 3, LYCOMING 1 (20-25, 25-12, 25-16, 26-24)
Averie Braymer and Ashton Thomas combined for 22 kills to help lead Bethany to the four-set victory. Braymer finished with a career-high 14 kills on 27 attempts with three kills, while Thomas added eight kills on 14 attempts. Braymer added two block assists and two solo blocks.
Talia Gallagher distributed 35 assists, marking back-to-back matches with at least 30 assists. She added 15 digs for her third consecutive double-doubles. Anna Taylor finished with 26 digs.
MATCH TWO: BETHANY 3, CARLOW 1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21)
Gallagher dished out 36 assists for her third consecutive match with at least 30 assists. Adriana Gilliam was the primary benefactor with 15 kills on 45 attempts and three errors.
Braymer and Shayleigh Hornyak added seven kills each. Taylor had a season-high 31 digs and now has at least 20 digs in seven matches.

- Bethany is now 2-2 in four-set matches and has played in four straight four-set matches.
- Gallagher has eight matches with 20 or more assists.
- Braymer has four matches with double-figure kills. She finished with four solo blocks and four block assists combined in the two matches.
