Chatham Beats Volleyball in Three

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Bethany College women's volleyball team fell in straight sets (28-26, 25-9, 25-16) to Chatham Wednesday in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.  

Junior Averie Braymer led the way with five kills on 14 attempts and just one error. She recorded three of the team's four service aces and a team-high two blocks. Freshmen Kaylee Doppelheuer and Mykah Hettinger had three kills each.  

Senior Talia Gallagher finished with a 20-dig, 12-assist double-double. Senior Anna Taylor added 14 digs and two assists in the match.  

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES 

  • Gallagher has reached double-figure assists and recorded a double-double17 times this season.  

  • Taylor has recorded double-figure digs 21 times this season. She had her string of 20-plus digs snapped at 10 matches.  

  • Braymer has a block in 11 consecutive matches.  

Bethany (8-19 overall, 1-8 PAC) concludes the season 7 p.m. Saturday, traveling to Westminster.
