PAC Teams with Hudl to Produce New Streaming Platform

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced Wednesday morning its new strategic partnership with Hudl, formerly BlueFrame Technology, to launch the updated PAC Digital Network (PACDN) – the league's digital streaming platform – beginning in the 2022-23 academic year.

"We are incredibly thankful to Hudl for their above and beyond efforts to continue to help us showcase our student-athletes," PAC Commissioner Joe Onderko said. "Our new partnership with Hudl is one we value immensely. Like all of our alumni and fans, I know I am extremely excited to continue to watch all of the PAC action throughout the year on the PAC Digital Network."

As it prepares for its sixth year of delivering a free, high quality broadcast experience for hundreds of regular season and championship athletic events, the updated PACDN will provide additional technology integrations and advanced streaming technology and support for its schools to assist in providing broadcasts on a global scale.

"It has been great working with the PAC office and the schools to get the PAC Digital Network launched," said Josh Braun, Key Account Director at Hudl. "I believe the PAC Digital Network and the utilization of our Production Truck software will provide a great platform for PAC fans to watch their broadcasts."

With its new Hudl partnership, PAC fans can view PACDN content at pacdigitalnetwork.com on computers and mobile devices. The PACDN is also available on four PAC-branded OTT apps: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku, and mobile applications available on Apple iOS and Android, by searching "PAC Digital Network".

The PACDN will feature nine of the league's 11 full members on the platform in 2022-23. The following schools are joining the PACDN immediately and will be included on TV and mobile applications:
· Allegheny College
· Bethany College
· Chatham University
· Franciscan University
· Geneva College
· Saint Vincent College
· Washington & Jefferson College
· Waynesburg University
· Westminster College

Schools not participating in the digital network will still be linked to the online web portal for direct access to their current broadcast channels. However, they will not be a part of the smart TV applications (Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku) or mobile applications (Apple iOS and Android).

The 2022-23 season gets underway on Wednesday, August 31. The PACDN mobile applications, along with the Apple and Android TV applications, are live. Amazon's Fire TV and the Roku applications will be available soon.

About the PAC
The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), affiliated with the NCAA's Division III, was formally organized in 1955 and built on the basic belief that an athletic program is an integral part of college life but not an entity in itself, looks back on over sixty years of growth and ahead to years of continued academic and athletic excellence. The league's name clearly reflects its founding principle that operational control of all aspects of intercollegiate athletics is ultimately the responsibility of the presidents of each member institution, and thus active presidential leadership and oversight is paramount in conference administration.

Its 11 member institutions, located Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, are: Allegheny College (Meadville, Pa.), Bethany College (Bethany, W.Va.), Chatham University (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Franciscan University of Steubenville (Steubenville, Ohio), Geneva College (Beaver Falls, Pa.), Grove City College (Grove City, Pa.), Saint Vincent College (Latrobe, Pa.), Thiel College (Greenville, Pa.), Washington & Jefferson College (Washington, Pa.), Waynesburg University (Waynesburg, Pa.) and Westminster College (New Wilmington, Pa.). Carnegie Mellon University and Case Western Reserve University have competed as affiliate PAC members in the sport of football since 2012.

The PAC sponsors 23 intercollegiate sports competing in Division III. Over 5,000 student-athletes participate in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's outdoor track & field, softball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball and men's wrestling.
