Bethany places 78 on PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Bethany College featured 78 student-athletes on the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Spring 2023 Academic Honor Roll announced by the league office Friday afternoon.

Leading the way for the Bison with 12 student-athletes were baseball and women's basketball with 12 apiece, followed by women's lacrosse and women's track and field (10), men's basketball and softball (8), men's track and field (6), men's lacrosse (5), women's swimming (3), men's swimming (3), and golf (2).

The 921 student-athletes on the Spring's list eclipses the previous semester record of 823, set in the Fall of 2022. In addition, the conference recognized 1,744 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll between the Fall and Spring semesters, surpassing the old mark of 1,441 set in the 2021-22 academic year.

Allegheny College led the 11 full-time league schools with 114 student-athletes earning PAC Spring 2023 Academic Honor Roll distinction. Tied for second on the list was Saint Vincent College and Westminster College, each with 102, followed by Grove City College with 96, while Washington & Jefferson College had 82 on the honor roll. Waynesburg University and Chatham University were also tied at 81, followed by Bethany College (78), Thiel College (69), Franciscan University (58), and Geneva College (58).
