BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team earned a 16-4 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bison offense exploded for six goals in the first quarter of play. Clay Yingling scored his first of three goals of the period to open the scoring with 11:36 to go. The Lions tied the game at 1-1 less than 20 seconds later. The tie wouldn't last long with Yingling finding the back of the net. Tyler Britton, Raymond Rogers and Conor Sinclair all got in on the action taking the Bison into the second quarter with a 6-1 lead.
- MSJ scored first in the second but the Bison offense continued as they fired five goals. Britton led the scoring with two goals while Raymond Rogers and Christian Funari all scored goals. Yingling also added a goal to give the Bison an 11-2 lead heading into the halftime break.
- In the third, the Lions scored first but the Bison continued to hold momentum scoring three goals.
- In the final quarter, the Bison scored twice while giving up one goal.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Clay Yingling led the Bison with four goals and three assists.
- Tyler Britton and Raymond Rogers scored three goals apiece.
- Maurice Plummer and Conor Sinclair had two goals each while Cameron Melita and Christian Funari scored a goal.
- Andrew Smith had 16 saves while Chrisian Nestor had six.
STATS OF THE GAME
- Bethany held the slight shot advantage, outshooting the Lions, 40-35.
- Both teams struggled in man up opportunities; The Bison went 1-4 while the Lions went 1-6.
