Men's Lacrosse: Presidents snap Bison win streak

BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team saw their five game win streak come to an end after the Washington & Jefferson Presidents cruised to an 11-5 victory to open up PAC play, Tuesday evening.

THE BASICS

Final Score: Washington & Jefferson 11, Bethany 5

Records: W&J (4-5, 1-0 PAC), Bethany (5-3, 0-1 PAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Washington & Jefferson scored first in the first quarter but Bethany answered back scoring the next three goals off the sticks of Raymond Rogers, Clay Yingling, and Tyler Britton.  The Presidents quickly answered by scoring the next five points to lead 6-3 after the first.
  • The second quarter saw little scoring with the only goal being scored by the Bison's Conor Sinclair.
  • The Presidents took the momentum in the third quarter, scoring three goals to take a 9-4 lead.
  • Bethany's Maurice Plummer scored first in the final quarter but the Presidents tacked on two more goals to hold a commanding lead.
