Men's Lacrosse: Britton and Smith earn PAC Weekly Award Honors

TRAFFORD, Pa. – A pair of Bethany College men's lacrosse players earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) weekly award honors for their performance during week 6 of the 2023 season.
Junior midfielder, Tyler Britton (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) earned PAC Offensive Player of the Week while senior goalie Andrew Smith (Erie, Pa./McDowell) earned PAC Specialist of the Week.
Britton scored 10 goals and added three assists in the Bison's 2-0 week. In the shut-out victory over La Roche, he broke Bethany's single-game goals record with nine and added three assists for 12 points. In the 6-2 win over Anderson, he scored one goal, a man-up strike for Bethany's third goal of the game.
Smith repeats as Specialist of the Week after making 21 saves in a pair of wins. He stopped four shots in the just over 32 minutes of action as the Bison shut out La Roche. In Saturday's matchup at Anderson, Smith made 17 saves, including 10 in the second half, as the Bison recorded a 6-2 win, their fifth in a row.
The Bison return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 28 as they open up PAC play against Washington and Jefferson for a 6 pm face-off at Bison Stadium.
