Men's Lacrosse: Bison fall to Wolverines

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team traveled to Grove City College for a PAC contest on Don Lyle Field Wednesday evening. The Wolverines cruised to a 19-5 victory over the Bison.

THE BASICS

Final Score: Grove City 19, Bethany 5

Records: Grove City (8-8, 7-0 PAC), Bethany (5-9, 0-7 PAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Grove City struck first finding the back of the net at the 13:17 mark. Bethany's Clay Yingling answered less than a minute later, to knot the game at 1-1. The Wolverines would regain the lead and score the next eight goals.
  • Bethany's Raymond Rogers scored on a man-up opportunity followed by a Yingling goal. The Wolverines would tack on two more goals to take an 11-3 lead heading into the half.
  • Grove City extended their lead 13-3 in the third.
  • Raymond Rogers scored his second goal of the game to open the fourth period.
  • Maurice Plummer added another Bison goal with 8:50 left in the game.
  • The Wolverines would score the last five goals.

The Bison will return to the turf on Saturday, Apr. 29 when they travel to Greenville, Pa. for their final PAC contest of the season against the Thiel College Tomcats beginning at 3 pm.
