Women's Lacrosse: Second quarter surge lifts Bearcats over Bison
BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse hosted Saint Vincent College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference contest inside Bison Stadium Tuesday evening.

Final Score: Saint Vincent 16, Bethany 8

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany and Saint Vincent battled back and forth in the first period. The Bearcats struck first to open the scoring affair with 13:46 to go. The Bison knotted the game just 22 seconds later after Jada Carter found the back of the net. Cassidy Mailloux and Emily Wenger added two goals to give the Bison a 3-1 lead. Both teams went back and forth with the Bison leading 5-4 after one period.
- The second period saw six goals from the Bearcats with the first three in a span of 52 seconds giving the visitors a 7-5 lead. The Bison tied the game after Lexie Reid and Joanna Melita found the back of the net, but the Bearcats scored the next three goals to take a 10-7 lead into the halftime break.
- The second half saw the Bearcats out score the Bison 6-1.

- Jada Carter and Cassidy Mailloux led the Bison with 2 goals apiece.
- Lexie Reid, Janez Matthews, Joanna Melita and Emily Wenger all scored a goal for the Bison.
