Bethany picked 11th in PAC Preseason Poll
LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany College football team was picked to finish last in the 11-team Presidents' Athletic Conference in a vote of conference coaches, sports information personnel, and media, the league announced today (August 6, 2024).
Bethany was represented by head coach Brandon Robinson and senior running back TJ Owensby.
Reigning champion Grove City was picked to repeat, earning 29 of the 42 first-place votes for a total of 444 points. The Wolverines were followed by Carnegie Mellon (8 first-place votes, 417 points), Washington & Jefferson (3, 378), Case Western Reserve (335), Westminster (2, 310), Allegheny (219), Geneva (192), Saint Vincent (154), Waynesburg (133), Thiel (129) and BETHANY (61).
"Preseason polls are great for preseason discussion points," said Bethany Head Football Coach Brandon Robinson. "Once we kick off on September 7, the preseason polls mean nothing."
The Bison returns 11 starters, seven on defense and four on offense.
Bethany begins the 2024 season, hosting Allegheny 1 p.m. September 7 for Community Day.
