Softball: Goodnight earns PAC weekly honors

BETHANY, W.Va. – Senior Destiny Goodnight earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week honor after her performance during week one.

Goodnight helped Bethany to a four-game sweep at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. On the weekend, the senior posted a .571 batting average with eight hits, scored seven runs and grabbed six stolen bases.

In game one versus Anna Maria on Saturday, she reached base in all four plate appearances with three hits and one walk and crossed the plate twice and then posted one hit and a stolen base in game two, a 1-0 win over Rockford.

On Sunday, Goodnight led with two hits and two runs scored in game one win over SUNY-Potsdam, while collecting two hits and scoring three runs in game two win over Anna Maria to lead the Bison to their fourth victory of the weekend.

The weekly laurel is her first of her career.

The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, Mar. 6 when they compete against Rockford and Penn State-Altoona in the Gene Cusic Classic.
