Bethany Women’s Soccer Slips at Grove City
Oct. 10 – GROVE CTIY, Pa. – The Bethany College women's soccer team was defeated 7-0 by Grove City on Saturday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.
Grove City (7-5) got on the board first as the Wolverines netted a goal in the eighth minute. The Wolverines scored one more goal in the first half.
The Bison (2-8-1) offense tallied four shots in the opening period. Goaltender Taylor Sasak (Berea, Ohio/Berea) recorded six early saves.
The Wolverines continued to put the pressure on the Bethany defense in the second half. Grove City collected a couple more goals early in the period to put the game out of reach.
Offensively, juniors Brittany Fullbright (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) and Madison Cochran (Grafton, W.Va./Grafton) led the Bison with two shots each.
Sasak collected double-digit saves once again for the Green & White. The sophomore goaltender currently leads the PAC in saves and has totaled at least 9 saves in every contest this season.
The Bison women's soccer team will return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 14 when they take on Saint Vincent at 4:00 p.m.
