NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 18) - The Bethany College women's soccer team was dealt a 3-0 loss at Westminster Wednesday evening in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
THE MATCHUP

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Westminster set the tone early in the match with a goal in the first minute. Westminster's Kaelyn Puhalla dribbled up the middle of the field off of the opening kickoff and sent a shot on goal that beat the goaltender 10 seconds into the match to put the Titans ahead 1-0.
- Bethany would be held to one shot in the first half, while Westminster attempted eight, but the match remained 1-0 heading into halftime.
- The Titans attempted 10 more shots in the second half, but were held scoreless until a free-kick in the 75th-minute found twine to give Westminster a two goal lead.
- Westminster added a third goal off of a deflection in the 81st-minute that sealed a three goal win over the Bison.
MATCH NOTES
- Westminster held an 18-to-1 advantage in shots for the game.
- Freshman goalkeeper Maria Concha Vazquez (Queretaro, Mexico/Thomas Jefferson) made five saves in net for Bethany in the loss.
