Baseball: Stoneman earns PAC Hitter of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Bethany College senior infielder Colton Stoneman (West Farmington, Ohio/Labrae Local) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week for his performance during week three.

Stoneman helped the Bison go 5-0 in Myrtle Beach last week batting .529 and had a pair of three-hit games with four RBIs and three stolen bases. He started the week with two hits including a triple and two runs knocked in during 11-2 win over Clarks Summit. In the Bison's come-from-behind win over Delaware Valley, he had three hits, stole a base and scored a run. Against Penn State Berks he drove in two and stole another base. To close out the week, Stoneman stroked three more hits, walked once, stole a base and scored in 8-7 triumph win over La Roche.

The weekly laurel is Stoneman's first of his career.

Stoneman and the Bison return to action on Thursday, Mar. 16 in a non-conference double-header against Penn State-Beaver at Bethany Park. First pitch is set for 1 pm.
