Dailey Named PAC Player of the Week

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Cole Dailey has been named the men's basketball Presidents Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Dailey led the Bison to their first 3-0 start since 2016. The junior forward was the leading scorer and rebounder in both games played.

"With two standout performances this past week, Cole Dailey continues to prove why he's a key component to our team. His dominance on both ends of the court was instrumental in our success," said Head Coach Brad Johnson. "Cole is a phenomenal player, but an even better teammate. He consistently leads by example, showcasing what it means to be a Bethany Bison."

Those performances indeed stood out on paper.

In game one against PSU-Beaver, Dailey broke the single game block record by swatting eight shot attempts. The previous record– seven blocks– was his own record set against Grove City in the 2022-23 season. Dailey also tied for the leading scorer at 18 points, highlighted by a three pointer and going 5-6 from the line.

In game two against PSU-Shenango, Dailey tied his career high with 18 rebounds. Unsurprisingly, Dailey played just as vital of a role in the offense. The forward scored 20 points and posted a career high seven assists. He didn't have a single turnover in 31 minutes played.

Joining Dailey on the Presidents Athletic Conference award list was Jess Roller. The freshman was on the honor roll for Newcomer of the Week. Between the two games, Roller averaged 14.5 points, collected seven boards, and shot 33.3% from three.

The Bison have a busy week ahead hosting three home games in four days. They host PAC foe Westminster on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Case Western Reserve University Thursday at 7:00 p.m., and Mount Aloysius Saturday at 1 p.m.
