15 Players Score in Loss

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's basketball team was outscored by 10 points in each half in falling to Washington & Jefferson Saturday, 91-71, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.

Junior Cole Dailey was the only Bethany player to reach double figures, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds. In all, 15 Bethany players found the scoresheet – including Merrick Reynolds with a career-high seven points.

The Presidents opened the game with nine of the first 11 points, but Bethany had an answer. Dailey scored seven points as Bethany embarked on a 12-2 run to claim its only lead of the game. But, W&J had an immediate answer – hitting a three-pointer to spark a 13-0 run as Bethany went scoreless for nearly five minutes.

Trailing by 10 at the break, the deficit was doubled as W&J scored the first 10 points of the second half.
