Dailey Named To D3hoops.com Team of the Week
Junior Cole Dailey has done something no other Bethany College men's basketball player has achieved in about a decade.
The record-breaking forward was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, the organization announced today (Tuesday, November 26, 2024). The last men's basketball player to earn the achievement was Delonte' Joyce during the 2014-15 season.
"Cole Dailey's standout performance earns him a well-deserved spot on the D3 Team of the Week, showcasing his hard work and unselfish play," said Bethany Men's Basketball Coach Brad Johnson. "His unwavering faith and ultimate belief in his teammates make him an exceptional player on the court."
Dailey averaged a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds to go along with seven assists and six blocks in two victories for Bethany. He stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, nine rebounds, eight blocks, six assists, and two steals in a comeback win over Mount Aloysius and scored 17 with 18 rebounds in a huge win over Case Western Reserve.
He also became the school's all-time blocks leader, surpassing Matt Drahos' 132, in the win over Mount Aloysius. He currently stands at 139 blocks.
Dailey is the tenth time, eighth different Bethany player, to earn this award since its inception in January of 1998.
Bethany (5-0 overall) returns to the court later today, traveling to Waynesburg.
