Kennedy Drops Career-High in Loss

LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany College men's basketball team fell to Saint Vincent, 98-68, Wednesday in Presidents' Athletic Conference action in the final road game of the season.  

Saint Vincent used an 11-1 run early in the second half to break open a game that was tied at halftime. The Bearcats just gradually pulled away in the second half.  

A three-pointer by sophomore Jaydis Kennedy gave Bethany a 18-10 lead less than six minutes into the game. The Bison took three different eight point leads in the first half. SVC had a 10-2 to take a late lead, and the team's enter intermission tied at 40.  

Kennedy was the lone player in double figures, tying his career-high with 12 points. Sophomore Ben Guffey and junior Troy Hixson added eight points each. 

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES 

  • Junior Cole Dailey led the team with four rebounds as the Bison were outrebounded, 39-26. He added a team-high three assists. 

  • Junior T.J. Jenkins had a team-high three steals.  

Bethany (7-17, 2-17 PAC) concludes the season with a 3 p.m. home game against Allegheny. Prior to the beginning of the game, Bethany will honor the contributions of a pair of seniors, Josh Abee and Sanders.
