Men's Lacrosse: Bison cruise in win over Lions

BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team had a strong offensive showing Wednesday evening inside Bison Stadium, defeating Mount Saint Joseph, 16-0.

THE BASICS

Records: Bethany (3-4, 0-1 PAC), MSJ (0-6)    

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Bethany had a strong first period against MSJ, scoring five goals to take a commanding lead. Freshman Zach Tuley found Raymond Rogers for the first points of the game. Five different Bison scored in the first period. Tuley had his two assists of the game in the first. Cameron Russo, Maurice Plummer, Tyler Britton and Justice Smith each scored in the first period.
  • The second period saw the Tyler Britton and Zach Tuley show as they scored the five goals of the second. Britton earned a hat trick in the period.
  • The Bison led 10-0 at the half.
  • Scoring slowed down in the third period with the Bison scoring twice. Tuley and Plummer both scored.
  • In the fourth, four different Bison scored to swell the lead to 16.

  • Mount Saint Joseph's goalie had 22 saves.
  • The Bison went 14-20 on face offs.
  • Bethany took 60 shots and held MSJ to 13.
