Women's Lacrosse: Bison fall to Panthers
HANOVER, Ind. – Bethany College women's lacrosse closed out their trip to Indiana with a 12-9 loss to Hanover early Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany found the back of the net early in the match. Jada Carter scored back-to-back goals for the Bison to take a 2-0 lead. Hanover would settle in and score the next four goals in the first period to take a 4-2 lead.
- In the second period, Hanover continued their scoring frenzy. The Bison broke up the five goal run with a goal from Janez Matthews. Hanover scored the final two goals of the half.
- Bethany trailed 7-3 at the halftime break.
- The Bison tacked on two goals in the third off the sticks of Janez Matthews and Abbie Carpenter.
- Trailing by seven goals, the Bison attempted a comeback in the fourth period, scoring the last four goals of the game. Tatum Severe and Karley Trinidad both scored off of free position shots. Lexie Reid and Abbie Carpenter scored the final two goals. The Bison were unable to complete the comeback after being held scoreless in the final four minutes.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Jada Carter, Janez Matthews and Abbie Carpenter led the Bison with two goals each.
- Matthews led the Bison defensively with three caused turnovers.
- Tatum Severe led the Bison with two assists. She added one goal.

- Hanover held the slight shot advantage, 29-27.
