Women's Lacrosse: Bison Fold Against Wolverines

BETHANY- After traveling just over the Pennsylvania border a day ago, the women's lacrosse team returned home to host the Grove City Wolverines. The Bison were unable to get their first Presidents Athletic Conference win of the season against the Wolverines.

The Basics

Final Score: Grove City 18, Bethany 3

Records:

W&J- (7–3, 2-0 PAC)

Bethany- (2-7, 0-2 PAC)

How It Happened

  • Abbie Carpenter scored the first goal of the game for either side. Her first of two goals put the Bison up 1-0.

  • The offense came to a screeching halt as the Bison didn't even attempt another shot the rest of the half. They were effective when they did shoot in the game. Their three goals came on five total shots.

  • Grove City, on the other hand, scored 13 unanswered on 20 attempts to bring the score to 13-1 at halftime.

  • The Bethany defense played a better second half only allowing five goals. The Bison caused more turnovers which allowed them to control the ball more.

  • In similar fashion to the start of the game, Carpenter landed a goal in an attempt to kickstart the Bethany offense. Another goal was scored by Karley Trinidad in the fourth, but that was all the Bison had to show by the end of the game.

  • The Bison drop back to back PAC games to start conference play.

Bison Top Performers
