Women's Lacrosse: Bison Struggle in PAC Opener vs W&J

Washington, Pa.- The women's lacrosse team couldn't get things rolling against Washington and Jefferson College. They dropped their first Presidents Athletic Conference game of the season 20-1.

The Basics

Final Score: W&J 20, Bethany 1

Records:

W&J- (3-6, 2-0 PAC)

Bethany- (2-6, 0-1 PAC)

How It Happened

  • The Bethany offense was unable to create many opportunities to score. They only had six shots throughout all four periods.

  • The Bison couldn't force many turnovers, leaving them to play defense for the majority of the game.

  • Their one lone goal came in the first period. Lexie Reed was able to put the ball between the posts with Jada Carter's help. That made the game 6-1 in the President's favor.

  • The defense was unable to keep W&J away from the net who landed 20 goals on 30 attempts. Bison goalie Leah Crihfield ended the game with the most saves from either team.

  • The Presidents were simply able to create more space near the net which allowed more attempts and more goals, scoring 14 unanswered to end the game. They overtake the Bison in Bethany's first PAC game of the season.

Bison Top Performers
