The Bison traveled to Mount Aloysius College (MAC) for a non-conference matchup. Bethany matched their season opener with another 3-1 victory.
This is the first time since 2021 that the Bison started the season with two wins.
INSIDE THE BOX
-
Bethany prevented MAC from putting up a shot within the first 20 minutes of play. However, it was the Mounties who got on the board first.
-
Their first shot attempt was an efficient one, reaching the back of the net and putting MAC up 1-0 with plenty of time left to play in the first.
-
Bethany answered back quickly, tying the game within five minutes of receiving the kickoff. Jordan Palmer served a pass from Emily Wenger in the bottom left corner of the net for a goal.
-
The Bison outshot the Mounties 9-1 in the first half, but the score remained tied 1-1 entering halftime.
- The Green and White continued to control the ball while putting pressure toward the opponent's goal. That pressure paid off 15 minutes into the second half.
-
Palmer struck again for her second goal of the game to give Bethany a 2-1 lead an hour into the game. Chloe Lee earned the assist.
-
Brionna Bash chimed in with her second goal of the season to put the Bison up 3-1. Wenger tallied her second assist of the game.
-
The Bison defense had another strong performance only allowing three shots the entire game.
Bethany (2-0) will look to officially make it a winning streak when they travel to Heidelberg (1-0-1). The non-conference game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, September 7.
