Bethany Offense Outpaced in PAC Opener

Bethany Offense Outpaced in PAC Opener

The Bethany Bison kicked off Presidents Athletic Conference action with the Grove City Wolverines. It was a competitive 0-0 battle through the first 45 minutes of play, but the Wolverines got the best of the Bison in the second half.

Mathelyn Ruiz had another outstanding game in goal, posting up her second consecutive 11 save performance.

The Bison played a bend-but-don't-break defense for the majority of the game. However, the Wolverines put up 25 total shots. That volume eventually got to Bethany, who allowed two second-half goals.

The Bison offense was supressed all game. They were able to put two shots on goal in the first half. That was the only opportunity they could muster, resulting in a 2-0 loss to the Wolverines.

Bethany (3-3-2) will welcome Waynesburg (4-2-1) to Hoag Field for their first PAC home game. Kickoff commences at 1 p.m.
