Bethany Offense Stifled Against Heidelberg

Bethany Offense Stifled Against Heidelberg

The Bison traveled to Tiffin, Ohio to take on Heidelberg. The Bethany defense locked down in the second half, but was unable to come back from a 2-0 deficit.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Heidelberg served as the aggressors in the first half with 15 shot attempts. Bethany had one shot that was off the mark.

  • The game was scoreless until the 26 minute mark, where Heidelberg scored their first goal of the game.

  • Each team traded possessions until Heidelberg found an opportunity off of a free kick. A well run play resulted in another goal.

  • The Bison played tighter defense in the second half. They more than halved Heidelberg's shots, reducing their attempts to just six.

  • The improvement on defense kept Bethany within striking distance, but a lack of offense proved to be the Green and White's biggest downfall.

Bethany (2-1) will plan to get back on track against Hiram (0-3). The Bison will travel back to Ohio to take on the Terriers 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 11.
