Bison Concede Late Goals in Loss to Terriers

The women's soccer team crossed the West Virginia-Ohio for their second straight Ohio road game. After jumping out to a quick 1-0 lead, the Bethany Bison conceded four unanswered goals to the Hiram Terriers leading to a 4-1 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Bethany jumped out to a quick 1-0 six and a half minutes into the game. The foot of Monica Bird ushered the ball into the net. She was assisted by Brionna Bash

  • The Terriers answered back and then some, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime.

  • The second half of the game was a defensive battle with no scores until nearly 10 minutes left in the game. The Bison put 18 shots in the direction of the net. The Terriers scooped eight saves, keeping the Green and White offense scoreless in the second half.

  • Bethany was all out on offense having to tie. Hiram capitalized and put up two goals to give extra insurance near the end of the game.

  • The Bison couldn't pull any last minute heroics and fell to the Terriers.

Bethany (2-2) will host Earlam (0-3) Saturday, September 14th for a country-themed showdown. Kickoff will be at 2:30 with the men's soccer game to follow.
