Rausch Named Head Women's Soccer Coach

Bethany College Interim Director of Athletics Jen Windmiller is announcing the hiring of Nathan Rausch as the head women's soccer coach, effective immediately.

Rausch comes to Bethany after spending the last six years at Thomas More University (TMU) as the institution transitioned from NCAA Division III to NAIA to NCAA Division II.

"Nate brings extensive recruiting experience to Bethany, and we are pleased to have him join our athletic staff," says Windmiller. "We, as a committee, were impressed with his approach in building a program and establishing a culture of winning, inclusion, retention, and graduation. I am confident that his approach will work well for Bethany and the women's soccer program.

"I would also like to thank Cody Kibler for his leadership of the women's soccer program this season," Windmiller continues. "His ability to take over the program and lead them to the PAC tournaments speaks volume to his abilities."

Over Rausch's six years with TMU, his recruiting strategies helped nearly double the roster size of the women's soccer team, while the program also bolstered its budget through innovative and diverse fundraising campaigns.

Rausch's tenure showcased a commitment to academic and athletic excellence, with the program achieving a 3.45 cumulative GPA. His grassroots efforts also led to a remarkable expansion of the TMU women's soccer summer camp, increasing participation from 58 in 2019 to over 300 this past summer.

"I'd like to thank everyone at Bethany who was involved with my hiring process for this amazing opportunity," says Rausch. "I am looking forward to getting started with this amazing group of girls. I'd also like to thank TMU and Terry Connor for the opportunity to be a part of the women's soccer program. Lastly, I would like to thank TMU Women's Soccer Head Coach Marquis Walker for being a great mentor, leader, and friend throughout my six years at Thomas More University."

Rausch is taking over a Bethany women's soccer program that finished the 2024 season over .500 for the first time since 2009 and reached the PAC tournament, falling to Saint Vincent, 2-1, in the quarterfinals.
