Men's Basketball: Bison Fall to Titans
New Wilmington, Pa. – After being off for 29 days, the Bethany College Men's basketball team returned to the hardwood to face the Westminster College Titans in a PAC matchup. The Titans handed the Bison a 91-66 loss Saturday afternoon.
GAME FLOW
- Derek White Jr. put the Bison on the board for the Bison's first bucket of the game.
- Westminster started the game on an 11-2 run. Asa Klimchock drained a three to stop the Titan run.
- The used an 8-0 run to cut the Titan lead to 11-10.
- The Titans pulled away to a 19-13 lead after stringing together consecutive buckets.
- A Brendan Riggs' three from downtown cut the Titan lead to 29-24, but the Titans pulled back ahead double digits, 34-24 with under 8:30 to go in the first half.
- Down nine, Riggs hit a trey to cut the Titan lead to six, 38-32 with under five minutes to go in the first half.
- The Titans battled back using an 11-1 run to lead the Bison, 49-33 heading into the half.
- Westminster opened the second half on a 15-3 run.
- Bethany strung together a 10-2 run to cut the Westminster lead to 20, 66-46.
- The Bison were unable to overcome the Titan commanding lead.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Junior Asa Klimchock led the Bison with 18 points.
- Brendan Riggs added 15 points, shooting 5-for-11 from three.
- Derek White Jr. added 12 points.
- Trent Uphold had a team high three steals and added seven points.
- Tyler Block had a team high six rebounds.
