Men's Basketball: Bison Unable to Overcome Late Deficit
Bethany, W.Va. –Senior Trent Uphold led the Bison with 13 points in Bethany's 92-70 loss to Franciscan Saturday evening inside Hummel Field House.
GAME FLOW
- Bethany and Franciscan battled back and forth throughout the first half. The Barons took the lead with 13:32 to go in the first half, 18-16.
- After a Franciscan three, the Barons pulled ahead 28-21, with 11:20 to go in the half. The Bison pulled within four after Brendan Riggs nailed a three.
- The Barons took a double-digit lead with under seven minutes to go in the first half.
- Bethany went on a 10-3 run to end the first half. The Bison trailed 47-38 heading into halftime.
- The Bison kicked off the second half with a Travis Zimmerman layup cutting the Barons' lead to seven, but the Barons answered and pulled ahead.
- Franciscan took a commanding lead over the Bison leading by as many as 27 points in the second half.

- Senior Trent Uphold led the Bison with 13 points, shooting 5-for-12 from the field. He had five boards.
- Derek White Jr. led the Bison with eight assists and seven rebounds. He added 12 points.
- Travis Zimmerman had 12 points and seven rebounds.
- Asa Klimchock and Brendan Riggs each had nine points, while newcomer Logan Wright had eight points off the bench.

- Senior Derek White Jr. currently sits fifth all time with 79 career blocks and eighth all time with 270 career assists at Bethany.
