Men's Basketball: Strong Second Half Propels Cougars Past Bison

Bethany, W.Va. – The Chatham University Cougars used a strong second half to propel past the Bethany College Bison, 87-61, inside Hummel Field House Monday evening.

GAME FLOW

  • Bethany pulled ahead 4-0 after made baskets by Asa Klimchock and Travis Zimmerman.
  • Both teams battled back and forth while maintaining a close distance with their opponent.
  • With 5:07 to go in the first half, Asa Klimchock brought the Bison within one, 33-32.
  • The Cougars regained composure and built the lead up to 45-35 heading into the break.
  • To start the second half, the Cougars continued to build on their lead over the Bison.
  • Chatham was able to hold of the Bison and maintained a comfortable lead in the second half.

IN THE BOX SCORE

  • Asa Klimchock led the Bison with 15 points. He pulled in four boards while dishing out two assists.
  • Travis Zimmerman added 10 points and pulled in a team-high nine rebounds.
  • Derek White Jr. contributed 10 points while grabbing six rebounds and contributing four assists.
  • Brendan Riggs added nine points.
