Bethany, W.Va. –The Bethany College Men's basketball team fell to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 78-56, Thursday evening.
GAME FLOW
- Brendan Riggs lifted the lid for the Bison draining a three for the first field-goal of the game.
- Bethany led the game on a quick 7-2 run after a Travis Zimmerman dunk and a Derek White Jr. jumper.
- The Yellow Jackets battled back taking the lead from the Bison to lead 12-9 with 15:35 to go in the first half.
- Senior Trent Uphold knotted the game at 12-12 after hitting a three.
- Both teams battled back and forth through the first half, with the Yellow Jackets pulling ahead 41-28.
- The Yellow Jackets ended the half on a 17-5 run.
- Throughout the second half, the Bison strung together a few runs to pull within ten but the Yellow Jackets defended the Bison from coming within single-digits.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Senior Trent Uphold led the Bison with a career-high 17 points, shooting 5-for-10 from behind the arc. Uphold pulled in a team-high eight rebounds.
- Senior Derek White Jr. dished a team-high five assists and had two blocks.
- Junior Asa Klimchock added 12 points.
- Junior Brendan Riggs had 10 points.
- Sophomore Travis Zimmerman led the Bison with eight rebounds and three blocks.
