Men's Basketball: Second Half Surge Lifts Tomcats over Bison

Bethany, W.Va. – The Thiel College Tomcats used a strong second half to defeat the Bison 79-57 inside Hummel Field House Wednesday evening.  

GAME FLOW

• The Bison took a quick 7-0 lead in the opening minutes of the first half.
• Bethany held onto a slim lead until Thiel knotted the game at 14-14 with 13:51 to go in the half.
• The Tomcats pulled ahead 22-14 and the Bison battled back and regained the lead, 24-22 with 8:29 to go in the first half.
• The lead see-sawed back and forth between the two teams, with Bethany taking a 33-32 lead heading into the half.
• In the second half, Thiel regained the lead with 18:08 to go and never looked back.

IN THE BOX SCORE

• Travis Zimmerman led the Bison with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
• Trent Uphold and Quinn Hiles contributed eight points apiece.
• Derek White Jr. had a team high four assists.
