Bison Women’s Tennis Falters on Road

Oct. 14 – NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Bethany College women's tennis team dropped their final regular season match of the season at Westminster, 9-0.

The Bison fell, 3-0, in doubles action to begin the match. Pia Hager (Stuttgart, Germany) and Anna Heizler (Stegen, Germany) competed in No. 1 doubles. The duos of Sarah Thrall (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) and Alyssa Smydo (Bentleyville, W. Va./Bentworth) along with Antoinette Fuller (Cleveland, Ohio/Shaw) and Haleigh Brooks (Martinsburg, W. Va./Martinsburg) also played tough.

The Titans got a 3-0 sweep in singles play. Hager battled with Westminsters' Gabby Eaborn as she ultimately lost in straight sets (6-1, 6-4) in No. 1 singles.

The Green & White will now prepare for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tennis Championships that will take place beginning on Friday, October 23.
