Women's Tennis takes loss at Saint Vincent

Sept. 8 - LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany women's tennis team dropped their second match of the season in a 9-0 loss at Saint Vincent on Thursday.

Sophomore Ashley Cass (McDonald, Pa. / Canon McMillan) started off singles action winning a game in the first set against the defending PAC Player of the Year Susie Ellis, before dropping the match in two sets.

In second singles, Alyssa Smydo (Bentleyville, Pa. / Bentworth) won a game in her second set before losing the match, 2-0.

Haleigh Brooks (Martinsburg, W. Va. / Martinsburg) also tallied a game win in her second set of fourth singles before falling in her match, 2-0.

Bethany falls to 0-2 on the year and hosts Westminster on Saturday, Sept. 10 with the match slated to start at 1:00p.m.
