Bison finish season with 9-0 loss to Thiel

Oct. 13 - GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany women's tennis team ended their 2016 season with a 9-0 loss to Thiel on Wednesday.

Despite starting the match down 3-0 after doubles, Francesca Capaldi (Steubenville, Ohio / Catholic Central) and Leonora Wetstein (Giessen, Germany / Liebig-Schule) fought hard in an 8-6 loss.

In singles action, Angela Counselman (Bethany, W.Va. / Brooke) and Emily Folk (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) battled in third and fourth singles each winning five games apiece before sixth singles when Wetstein captured the first set of her match 7-5 before dropping the next two sets. 

With the loss, Bethany ends the season with a record of 0-12 (0-8, PAC).
