Men's Basketball Defeated on Road to Wolverines

Grove City, Pa. – The Bethany College men's basketball team traveled north to Grove City, Pa. for a PAC contest against the Grove City College Wolverines Saturday afternoon. The Bison battled with the Wolverines but fell short, 75-66. The Bison were led by senior Aiden Albert with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

GAME OVERVIEW

The Bison fell quickly into a 20-8 deficit. The Green and White battled to cut the lead to single digits from a Craig Sauers three pointer at the halfway mark of the first half. A Derek White Jr old fashioned three point play cut the lead to seven, 24-17 and moments later a Sauers layup brought the Bison within five.

With 3:22 to go in the half, Khalil Wilson laid one in to bring Bethany within one, 28-27. However, a run by the Wolverines extended the lead before the half.

The second half was all the Wolverines. Grove City maintained a commanding double-digit lead for most of the half. The Bison cut the lead to single digits with 6:45 to go from a shot behind the arc from Aiden Albert. However, the Wolverines countered to regain the comfortable lead. The Bison shot 38 percent from the field on the day and forced 14 turnovers.
