Men's Basketball Defeated at Saint Vincent
Latrobe, Pa – The Bethany College men's basketball team traveled to Latrobe, Pa for a PAC contest against the Saint Vincent Bearcats Wednesday evening. The Bearcats cruised by the Bison, 80-69. Sophomore Khalil Wilson led Bethany with 16 points and junior Dalton Hamrick contributed 15 points.
GAME OVERVIEW
Both teams went neck and neck in the first half. The Bison led with seven minutes to go in the half, 26-21 after Dalton Hamrick hit a three. The Green and White narrowly held onto the lead until the Bearcats scored on back to back possessions to retake the lead before the half, 39-36.
Khalil Wilson got the Bison on the board first in the second half with a pair of freebies from the charity stripe. The Bearcats built the lead up to 12 with seventeen minutes to go in the game. Saint Vincent held on to a comfortable lead throughout the second half. Bethany cut the lead to single digits after a Dalton Hamrick layup, with six minutes to go. A pair of Trey Shifflett free throws cut the deficit to six but the Bearcats held on and pulled away from the battling Bison.
