Men's Basketball: Guffey earns PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Bethany College men's basketball freshman Ben Guffey earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for his performance during week nine of play.

In Bethany's 2-0 week, Guffey averaged 14.5 points while shooting 50 percent from the arc (8-for-16). In Wednesday's win over Franciscan, he knocked down six three-pointers and finished with 18 points.  Guffey hit two more three-pointers and went 5-for-6 from the foul line for 11 points and added two assists in the Bison's 89-86 win over Westminster Saturday.

This is Guffey's first weekly laurel for the Bison.

Bethany returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at home against Allegheny at 7:30 pm.
