Women's Lacrosse: Eagles Topple Bison

Huntingdon, Pa. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team traveled to Juniata College for a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS

Final Score: Juniata 16, Bethany 3

Records: Bethany (4-4, 0-0), Juniata (5-1, 0-0)    

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Juniata took a quick 8-0 lead over Bethany in the first period.
• The Eagles took a 12-0 lead before the Bison scored in the second period. Rikiah Wise scored an unassisted goal on a man-up opportunity with 0:22 seconds to go in the first half.
• Bethany held Juniata to two goals in the third period. The Bison had one goal from Cassidy Mailloux with 1:39 left in the third period.
• Abbie Carpenter gave the Bison their final goal of the game with 2:52 to go in the final period of play.

BISON TOP PERFORMERS

• Freshman Kaitlin Pickett caused a team-high four turnovers.
• Cassidy Mailloux had a team-high four groundballs.
• Trinity Dixton registered 13 saves.

STATS OF THE GAME

• The Eagles outshot the Bison 38-15. Bethany had 26 turnovers and went 7-for-22 on clear attempts.
