Women's Lacrosse: Four Bison Earn PAC Postseason Recognition

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team had four members recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Wednesday afternoon when the PAC released its postseason awards for the recently completed season.

Senior midfielder Cassidy Mailloux (Bell River, Ontario | Ecole Secoundaire Catholic L'Essor) earned All-PAC First Team. As a solid two-way midfielder she finished the season with 61 points, 50 goals and 11 assists, while scooping up 56 groundballs and caused 27 turnovers. She had 75 draw controls and had a shots on goal percentage of 79.0. Mailloux has earned All-PAC honors for three consecutive years and earned Midfielder of the Week twice this season.

Freshman Abbie Carpenter (Kent, Ohio | Kent Roosevelt) and seniorSarah Sberna (Sherrard, W.Va. | John Marshall) earned All-PAC Second Team.

Carpenter finished with 34 points, 21 goals and leading the Bison with 13 assists. She scooped up 67 groundballs and caused 31 turnovers. She had 58 draw controls and had a shots on goal percentage of 78.1. The freshman midfielder scored a season-high six points with four goals and two assists.

Sberna played a key role on the Bison defense. She finished the season with 51 groundballs and 24 caused turnovers. She registered 4+ caused turnovers three times this season.

Senior attack Rikiah Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md. | Bishop McNamara) earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors. Through all 17 games of her senior season, she finished the season second on the team with 55 points, 43 goals and 12 assists. Wise scooped up 41 groundballs and caused 22 turnovers. She also had 31 draw controls. This is her second postseason honor in her career.

Sophomore Marci Mazza-Fredley (Pittsburgh, Pa. | City Charter) was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
