Women's Lacrosse: Bison Fall to Tomcats on Senior Day

Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team hosted Thiel College in a PAC game at Bison Stadium, Saturday afternoon. Prior to the game, the Bison celebrated and honored their four seniors for their contributions to the program and college.

THE BASICS

Final Score: Thiel 16, Bethany 9  

Records: Thiel 7-5, 5-3 PAC; 7-10, 2-6 PAC         

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bethany and Thiel went back and forth in the first period with the Bison taking a one goal advantage heading into the second period.
• The Tomcats held the Bison scoreless in the second period and took a 8-4 lead at the half.
• Bethany and Thiel went goal-for-goal in the third, with Thiel maintaining their large lead.
• In the fourth the Bison were held to one goal and fell 16-9.

BISON TOP PERFORMERS

• Cassidy Mailloux led the Bison with five goals and one assist.
• Abbie Carpenter led the Bison with three assists. She finished with five groundballs, four draw controls and three caused turnovers.
• Rikiah Wise had two goals and one assist.
• Karley Trinidad finished with one goal and one assist while Kaitlin Pickett had one goal.

UP NEXT

The Bison finished the season 7-10 and 2-6 in the PAC. The seven wins are the most wins in program history.
