Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team traveled to Pittsburgh to face the Chatham University Cougars in a PAC contest Tuesday evening.
THE BASICS
Final Score: Chatham 16, Bethany 6
Records: Bethany (5-7, 0-3), Chatham (6-2, 3-0)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chatham led 4-0 after one period of play.
- Bethany outscored Chatham 4-3 in the second period to cut the deficit to three. Rikiah Wise scored two straight goals for the Bison in the second period. Karley Trinidad and Gracie Gonzales both had one goal apiece.
- The Bison trailed 7-4 at the half.
- The Cougars opened the second half scoring three goals to take a 10-4 lead.
- Cassidy Mailloux scored with 5:00 remaining in the period. At the 1:56 mark, Mailloux scored again for the Bison's final goal of the game.
- The Cougars continued to pour on the goals in the fourth period to maintain the commanding lead.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Seniors Rikiah Wise and Cassidy Mailloux led the Bison with two goals each. Wise had one assist.
- Karley Trinidad and Gracie Gonzales both had one goal. Gonzales dished one assist.
- Trinity Dixon made 11 saves.
