Women's Lacrosse: Bison Fall to Wolverines
Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team faced the Grove City College Wolverines in a PAC matchup Saturday afternoon at Bison Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Abbie Carpenter scored first for the Bison thirty-two seconds into the game.
- Grove City quickly rebounded scoring the next four goals to take a 4-1 lead.
- Abbie Carpenter scored for the Bison to cut the lead in half off of a free position shot.
- Bethany came within one goal after Alexa Taylor scored off a free position shot. Bethany trailed 4-3.
- The Wolverines extended their lead 7-3 heading into the half.
- Grove City scored the first three goals of the second half.
- With 7:11 to go in the third, Rikiah Wise scored to cut the lead to six.
- Wise scored again with 4:01 to go in the third and Cassidy Mailloux scored with thirty-five seconds left in the third.
- The Wolverines led 12-6 after three periods.
- Grove City outscored the Bison 4-3 in the final period of play.
BISON TOP PERFORMERS
- Senior Rikiah Wise led the Bison with three goals and one assist. Wise now has a 16 game goal streak. She has scored a goal every game for the Bison dating back to March 11 in the 2020 season.
- Abbie Carpenter scored two goals for the Bison and had five draw controls.
- Kassidy Stephens caused five turnovers.
- Alexa Taylor scored two goals while Cassidy Mailloux had one goal and one assist. Mailloux scooped up six groundballs and caused five turnovers.
- Gracie Gonzales had five caused turnovers and seven groundballs.
- Trinity Dixon registered 20 saves.
